Why We Celebrate World Food Safety Day:
An estimated 420,000 people around the world die every year after eating contaminated food (containment food means presence of harmful chemicals and microorganisms in food) and children under 5 years of age carry 40% of the foodborne disease burden. People are sick with 200 different foodborne illnesses.

Who is Responsible for Food Safety:
Food Business Operator:
Ensure All Food Business Operators certified with Food hygiene practices, risk analysis, good production practices, and critical control points. If there is no food safety in any business in that case the government can shut down their business.
Agricultural and food producers:
Governments should encourage farmers to reduce the use of chemicals within the agricultural system. Chemicals can cause reproductive and developmental problems that can damage the immune system and cause cancer and foodborne illness.
Governments of the Country:
It is the responsibility of governments to ensure safe and nutritious food for their citizens. Promote more sustainable solutions in areas such as agriculture and the food system by Policymaker.
