Oktoberfest
Introduction 
Oktoberfest is one of the largest beer festivals in the world. This festival was the tradition that started on a marriage occasion in the late 1800s. The first Oktoberfest was celebrated in 1810 in Munich in honor of Prince Ludwig's marriage to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. 


Today it has widened to be celebrated as a 21, festival where nearly 7 million people cherish their fun and happiness. The central theme of the festival is the consumption of Bavarian beer. You won't believe it, but it's a total of 6 million litres of beer consumed during the festival. 
Oktoberfest festival begins officially on the second to last Saturday in September at noon, when the mayor of Munich taps the first barrel at the Schottenhamel Tent, crying "O'zapft is" (It's open). The festival concludes on the first Sunday of October following German reunification day on October 5
History
Oktoberfest began because of the initiation of the wedding ceremony between Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese on Columbus Day, 1810. All townspeople were invited to attend the wedding, which happened within the fields outside of the town gates. 
Following the marriage, the fields were named Theresienwiese after the Princess. Therefore the party was successful that the townspeople asked King Ludwig to continue the celebration the subsequent year. 
Even today, the remnants of the gates still stand and the fields, known by locals because of the Wies’n. And Today, Oktoberfest has stepped into the 213th anniversary of the festivities.

Facts about the Oktoberfest 
Half of the year, the grounds remain as a public park. Round June, the tents and funfair foundations come to the fore to start their staggering construction process with a completion date within September, just in time for the start of the festival. This area hosts an area of 420,000 square feet and is straightforward for anyone to succeed in and obtain from central Munich. And at the festival, there are 14 main beer tents.


These are called the Theresienwiese grounds brews, serving the beers. Of them, there are six large tents, which supply beer for up to 12,000 people per day! So, on the outer, only six breweries are represented at the Oktoberfest. The worth for a litre of beer ranges between €8 and €10 per liter.
It is a long time-consuming process for booking beer tent reservations every year, and you will not get the exact seats you want. 
There are tents present for booking reservations, and each tent has its own system for booking reservations, and they each start the method at different times. You usually need to make reservations in groups of 8-10 people, and most of the reservations are taken by the locals who have held tables at the Wies’n for several generations.
The big tents can hold 7,000-10,000 people at a time. And sometimes close their doors by noon on Saturdays.  In 2019, over seven million people attended the festival for over three weeks.
If you would like, you'll walk out and do spend your fun time there with endless rides and carnival games. Within the beginning days, the Costume and Riflemen's Parade sees some 7,000 costumed performers and musicians provide a walking parade through the streets from the middle of Munich to celebrate the Oktoberfest's opening weekend. If the climate is favorable, an open-air concert featuring 400 musicians steals your eyes and ears.
Children are even allowed inside the tents, but children under six-years-old must vacate the tents by 8 p.m., also if they're with their parents. Activities like carnival rides within the fairgrounds would be more suitable for youngsters.
